Beauty in and out!
In our daily lives, we are consistently drawn to the sight of an attractive person. It’s almost reflexive, this instantaneous acknowledgement of their external beauty. It’s as if they have been bestowed with every conceivable facet of physical charm that exists. This visceral reaction we experience upon encountering such beauty is nothing short of delightful; it’s almost a privilege to lay our eyes upon it. Likewise, there’s an undeniable thrill that courses through us when we stumble upon a truly stunning location. The innate beauty of these places is capable of eliciting a profound sense of joy, coupled with a feeling of genuine fortune for having borne witness to such splendor. The emotions that dwell within us, triggered by these encounters with beauty — whether it’s in the form of people or places — are truly one-of-a-kind, and the satisfaction they bring is insurmountable.
And really, isn’t it quite remarkable to be able to experience such things?
At times, we are fortunate to come across individuals who possess a different kind of allure. These are the individuals with whom we feel an instant sense of ease — a deep sense of comfort. Their presence is akin to a soothing balm, and spending time with them, engaging in conversation, seeking their counsel, all seem to happen naturally. Interestingly, these individuals may not conform to the standards of attractiveness that society deems important. Their beauty transcends the external; it emanates from a place that is not immediately visible.
Simultaneously, there are places that have the power to calm our inner storms. These are the locations where we can truly be ourselves, where stress dissipates, and a feeling of tranquility takes over. Curiously, these places might not fit the conventional mold of beauty, at least in the context of appearances.
However, do we bestow the label of “beautiful” upon these individuals or places?
In reality, we often do not. This is largely because we tend to overlook the beauty that resides within them. It’s an inner beauty — an intrinsic charm that exudes from them. It fills us with emotions of love, a sense of relaxation, and an unparalleled calmness. It’s a beauty that goes far beyond what the eyes can perceive, a kind of beauty that has the power to put us at ease and foster genuine connections.
Given this perspective, shouldn’t we then actively endeavour to recognise and appreciate this unique form of beauty that resides within individuals and places?
